Bellflower Unified School District is excited to announce that Joy Robles has been selected as the Teacher of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year. Joy has worked in BUSD for 9 years! She was a member of the Ramona staff and part of the team that lead the school to earning designation of California Democracy School. This year, she joined the Stephen Foster staff as an instructional specialist. Joy actively seeks out opportunities to learn more about her craft to ensure students succeed. She is generous with her time and always willing to assist her colleagues. She is a dedicated professional who has a growth mindset and meets challenges with zeal. Joy actively collaborates with school and district teams to support student achievement. She is a dedicated educator and valued BUSD team member who is committed to building futures for our students. 

Bellflower Unified is excited to announce that Terry Scofield has been selected as the Classified Employee of the Year for the 2022-2023 year. Terry has worked in BUSD for 37 years. She has worked at a variety of school sites and is currently the secretary at Lindstrom Elementary. Terry attended BUSD schools, her children and now her grandchildren have been part of BUSD! Terry is always happy to help out her fellow staff members and parents. She can also be seen at school events and supporting Mayfair soccer. We are thankful for all she has done in her 37 years to build futures for our students!
