    Permit Information

    The Inter-District Permit and Intra-District Permit Applications for the 2018-2019 school year will be accepted starting April 16th, 2018. All permits are to-be delivered to the BUSD Child Welfare and Attendance Office.

    Intra-district Permit to Attend BUSD

    If a student that lives within the BUSD attendance boundaries desires to attend a Bellflower school other than their school of residence, you may submit an intra-district permit.

    Procedures for Parent(s)/Guardians(s):

    An intra-district permit may be obtained and completed at the Child Welfare and Attendance office located within the district office at 16703 S. Clark Avenue, Bellflower, CA

    Inter-district Permit to Attend BUSD

    If a student that lives outside of BUSD attendance boundaries desires to attend Bellflower schools, they must first obtain permission to be released (Inter-District Permit) from the district in which they live. Parents/guardians requesting attendance within BUSD from an outside district must fill out the BUSD Terms and Conditions form located in the CWA Office and be able to provide the district with a copy of the students’ most current report card/transcripts, behavior report, and school attendance.

    The Child Welfare and Attendance Office contacts parents if space becomes available in one of our schools. Obtaining a permit from the school district in which you reside does not mandate acceptance by the Bellflower Unified School District. Your student must still be accepted within BSUD to attend. If a permit is accepted, students are expected to maintain satisfactory attendance, effort, academic achievement, and behavior.

    Procedures for Parent(s)/Guardians(s):

    1. Apply to be released from your home district by visiting your home district’s Permit Office.
    2. Complete the BUSD Terms and Conditions Form and attach the permit release with a copy of the student’s most current grades, behavior report, and attendance.
    3. Submit all completed documents to the Child Welfare and Attendance Office in the BUSD District Office at 16703 S. Clark Avenue. Bellflower, CA 90706.
